Almost Wedding/ Beveik vestuvės

I’ve been very busy for the past two week: a lot of work at my job; helping my cousin with ideas for her wedding in May (I will probably be making 4 bridesmaid dresses); and sketching – hope to make some real things from there. We had a four day weekend that ended today – Lithuania’s Independence Day – so I finally found some time to sleep, didn’t miss news from fashion week and completed some of my works. Here is one of it – a long white floral dress.
I wanted to make something like that for a very long time. I chose this sophisticated fabric and made a really beautiful dress. But… It’s so obvious that I spend a lot of time browsing for wedding photos! I could wear this one to my own wedding! As I’m definitely not planning to have them anytime soon, I will probably chop the dress. Probably. Should I?

Pastarosios savaitės buvo tiesiog pragariškos: įtampa darbe, pagalba puseserei ieškant idėjų jos vestuvėms (gegužės pabaigoje), daugybė tikrai neblogų minčių siuvimui (kurias stengiausi „užrašyti“eskizuose) kasdieniniai darbeliai ir laiko nebeliko! Tad šios keturios laisvos dienos buvo tarsi išganymas - pagaliau išsimiegojau, nepraleidau prasidėjusio rudens mados maratono naujienų, ir pagaliau pabaigiau kelis darbelius. Vienas iš jų – ilga gėlėta suknelė.
Suknelei pasirinkau gana „rafinuotą“ medžiagą, ir, turiu pripažinti, jog galutinis rezultatas man be galo patinka. Bet kaip gi be to „bet“? Akivaizdu, jog tikrai rimtai domėtasi vestuvių idėjomis, nes šią suknelę praktiškai galėčiau vestuvėse ir dėvėti. Savo. Kurių tikrai neplanuoju! Turbūt reikėtų ją patrumpinti, bet dar leisiu sau pasidžiaugsiu šiuo ilguoju variantu: o gal sumastysiu kaip kitaip ją pritaikyti kasdienai. Kirpti ar nekirpti?

I think your long dress is lovely but I must say I love the shorter version more. But it's up to you to decide what you prefer^^.

I *really* like both of them. I love how the long dress is different. And maxi dresses are so fun! But you might get more wear out of a shorter dress... Argh, it's a difficult decision!

Thank you to all!
It's nice to hear that you like shorter version. As it is much more practical, now I'm sure I need to shorten the dress.

tinypaperheart, i'm still working on my blog design. You are so lucky that you have someone who helps you! I'm lack of the skills in this area, but as I'm already tired of asking people for help, I will manage it myself. somehow. But it will take some time.
